Successful food manufacturer in Newcastle seeks dynamic and driven Supervisor to oversee Planning, Production and Logistics function. The role reports to the Industrial Manager with a view to be promoted to Industrial Manager within 2 years - so a great career move for the right person.
The Role
Planning and Production:
- Receive and organise customer orders
- Organize raw materials, ingredients and packaging
- Organise Operators
- Organise all production operations (regarding Raw Material, Ingredients, Packaging, Finished products, Equipment, Building, Production Processes & People).
- Maintain Factory standards in Cleanliness, Tidiness, Good Manufacturing Practises
- Report monthly production operations
Logistics and Quality :
- Organise the Supply of raw materials, ingredients and packaging to plant (on time and error free)
- Prepare and update daily production schedule, according to customer orders, stock level and deliveries.
- Optimise supply chain (costs, efficiency, customer service)
- Flag any non conform deliveries
- Assist Quality Department with regards to correct conformities.
- Monitor stock level and provide monthly stock take.
- Analyse stock and alert relevant department if needed.
- Manage all aspects relating to CHEP
- Check and approve transport, storage, raw materials, ingredients, packaging invoices for prices, volume and quality upon their receipt at the factory.
The Candidate
- Mandatory: You have relevant experience in Production within the Food industry
- You can deal with tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- You are highly organised and possess excellent communication skills
