This is a great opportunity for a Instrumentation Trades Person to become a vital part of a water and waste water company, recognised as an industry leader.
United Water is the largest private water company operating in Australia and is a subsidiary of Veolia Water. With over 13 years' experience, United Water provides a comprehensive water and wastewater services to almost 1.5 million people in Australia and New Zealand. The Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant site services approximately half of metropolitan Adelaide and comprises two advanced wastewater treatment plants, a biogas power generation plant, one of the largest wastewater recycling plants in Australia, a biosolids recycling plant, an aquifer storage and recovery trial site, as well as responsibility for a number of major wastewater pump stations in the northern Adelaide area. A vacancy currently exists at the site for an experienced and trade qualified Instrument Fitter, with interest in joining the operations team (optional).
If suited to operations the successful applicant will be provided with thorough training in Waste Water Treatment Plant Operations including training toward a Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment, and will be required to operate the plant outside normal working hours by participating in an on-call roster. Responsibilities will include:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on soft starters, variable speed drives, switchboards, electric motors, power and control circuits, electric and hydraulic systems, HV equipment and a diverse range of analytical instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting on electrical equipment, instrumentation and associated control systems
- Experience in systems such as ControlNet, Citect and iFIX would be an advantage however are not essential and training will be provided where appropriate.
- Wastewater treatment plant operations on a 2 in 4 rotational roster.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role. Applicants must be team players, have a customer service focus and be willing to work outdoors.
